Forward Bloc to recast State unit

HYDERABAD: The All-India Forward Bloc is taking steps to reorganise the party unit in the State.

The general secretary, Debabrata Biswas, MP, at a press conference here on Monday announced the formation of the State committee with A.K. Biswas as secretary. Members of the committee, G. Appa Rao, Malla Reddy, K. Narender, Konda Dayanand and D. Venkatesam, were present.

Mr. Biswas recalled that in the mid-fifties, the unit had been strong and the party's presence among the people was appreciable. But for various reasons, including emergence of other parties, its influence had declined.
