Civic staff told to fill potholes

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: The MCH Commissioner, Sanjay Jaju, has instructed his engineering staff to fill potholes on the main and internal roads in the twin cities within three days. They were also told to identify water logging spots and take necessary immediate action on war footing.

In a review meeting on Monday evening, Mr. Jaju took serious note of the bad condition of roads and storm water catchment pits without covers. All the engineers were told to arrange proper covers at the earliest.

He suggested works to be taken up during nights and complete them by the weekend, a press release said.

Budget will not be a constraint and any lapse in quality or delay in completion of these works will be viewed seriously, the MCH Commissioner warned.
