Body found under concrete platform in kitchen

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: The Uppal police on Monday discovered the body of a person, who was apparently killed and buried under the concrete platform in the kitchen of a house in Srinagar colony, in its limits.

Based on a complaint that some foul smell was emanating from a locked house, the police reached the spot and traced the odour to the kitchen.

They dug up the concrete platform to find out a person buried in it.

Police said they were yet to identify whether the body belonged to a man or a woman.

The house owner, T. Lingam (42) a native of Prakasam, is absconding since the last few days and the police suspects his involvement in the episode.

He is said to be an employee of a real estate group.
