When Muhammed Majeed, the founder and CEO of Sabinsa Corporation in the U.S and the Bangalore-based Sami Labs Ltd., came visiting to the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences on the Medical College campus here last week, it was as an alumnus and not as a corporate bigwig. His presence at the College, at the inauguration of a new and modern auditorium, was certainly a matter of pride for all because the auditorium had been his contribution to his alma mater. Dr. Majeed, a native of Kollam, had graduated in Pharmacy from this institution in 1973, before he emigrated to the U.S and made it big there. The auditorium, which he had helped modernise with a contribution of Rs. 5.5 lakhs, was inaugurated by the Health Minister K. K. Ramachandran. C. Maya
