ERODE: The Erode Eco Textile Processing Park will conduct a two-day workshop-cum-expo on Modernisation of Textile Processing and Waste Water Treatment Systems here on July 21 and 22, said Chairman of the Erode Eco Textile Processing Park A. Muthuswamy. Over a thousand textile dyeing, bleaching and processing industries were functioning here. Even before the Madras High Court order instructing dyeing units to erect Reverse Osmosis plants came, the park was formed and it sought 300 acres in Perundurai Industrial Growth Centre run by the SIPCOT to set up wet processing industries, Mr. Muthuswamy told presspersons on Tuesday. SIPCOT told that it would provide "undeveloped" land at a cost of Rs. 7 lakhs, but the park authorities urged the Government to grant them the land and bear the development charges.
Centre fund
Mr. Muthuswamy said within three or four days they would get a positive reply from the Government. After getting the land they would shift the dyeing units there and erect Reverse Osmosis plants. The Centre would provide Infrastructure Development Fund for them, he said.
