Marriage bureau gets ISO quality certification

VIJAYAWADA: The managing director of Kaakateeya Marriages Private Limited, Yalamanchili Chiranjeevi, on Tuesday, claimed that the organisation had been selected for the International Quality Standard Certification, ISO 9001:2000. The certificate would be presented to him at a function to be held in Hyderabad next week, he said.

Addressing a press conference, Mr. Chiranjeevi said it was the only marriage bureau in India, which was selected for the prestigious certification. "The ICL Certification Limited is presenting this certificate for implementing standard systems, quality services and maintaining records," he said. The audit was carried out in areas of management commitment, planning, responsibility, infrastructure, work environment, implementing customer related process and control of records, he said. Mr. Chiranjeevi said, "We have a database of over 70,000 brides and grooms. The registrations per annum are about 20,000 in Hyderabad and 8,000 in Vijayawada," he said and added that the registration fee was based on the requirements and financial background of the customers.
