Indian aquatics team leaves for Montreal

BANGALORE: A three-member Indian team, consisting of Puneet Rana, Shikha Tandon and Parita Parekh, accompanied by coach Nihar Ameen left on Tuesday for the World swimming championship now in progress at Montreal.

The Olympian Shikha will participate in the 50 and 100m freestyle events besides the 100m backstroke.

Rana would compete in the 50, 100 and 200m breaststroke events. Parita will swim in the 200m butterfly and 200m individual medley races. — Special Correspondent
