ONGOLE: CPI (Maoist) activists shot dead Thati Eedaiah (30), a para teacher working in ITDA school at Isuka Tripurantakam in Pullalacheruvu mandal in Prakasam district, in the early hours of Tuesday branding him a police informer. Chandravanka dalam left a note in which it held Eedaiah responsible for the encounter at Chintala village in which three naxalites were killed. The letter signed by Chandana, secretary of Chandravanka dalam, said Eedaiah had joined as home guard at Ongole (number 205) in 2000 and shifted his operations to Pullalacheruvu mandal. They held him responsible for the Chintala encounter. The police, however, refuted the charge. They contended that the name of the home guard 205 was A. Prasad, who joined at Eepurupalem near Chirala in May, 1998.
