Setting up of coffee technology park sought
Special Correspondent
BANGALORE:
C.T. Ravi of the Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday suggested in the Legislative Assembly that the Government set up a coffee technology park to address various issues pertaining to coffee growing, curing and marketing.
Participating in the debate on demands of the Industries and Cooperation departments, he said government support is essential as the coffee industry is facing several problems.
With regard to the State public sector undertakings (PSUs), Mr. Ravi said the Government should revive Mysore Lamps by providing capital expenditure and ensure that the other PSUs are not closed down for want of funds. The Government should have a clear policy on resurrection of sick industries, he added.
