KOTTAYAM: In an effort to save their neighbour, a 68-year-old man and his 40-year-old son were electrocuted when they came in contact with a broken power line at Vakathanam, near here. According to eyewitnesses, Padinjareveettil Anthrayose and his son Saji rushed to help Pennamma, their neighbour, who had fallen into an inundated paddy field near their house, not knowing that she had received an electric shock from the power line, which had fallen into the water. When they stepped into the field, they were electrocuted.
