Garbage disposal: integrated approach need of the hour

HYDERABAD: An integrated approach by 10 surrounding municipalities for tackling garbage disposal issues will yield better results instead of each of them working in isolation. This was the suggestion that emerged at a workshop on `Garbage disposal in the metro area' organised by the Hyderabad Urban Development Authority (HUDA) and Water and Sanitation Programme of the World Bank here on Tuesday. Incharge HUDA Vice-Chairman K.S. Jawahar Reddy inaugurated the workshop. Commissioners of the municipalities made presentations in the sessions chaired by Deepak Sanan, World Bank expert and India Country Team leader.
