Special Correspondent

The portal has the facility to track applications

NEW DELHI: : To facilitate access to scholarships, fellowships and educational loans, the Union Human Resource Development Ministry has launched a web site to serve as a single window source of information. Union Minister Arjun Singh launched the portal here on Tuesday.

Billed as the first of its kind in the country, www.educationsupport.nic.in provides information on the incentives available; be it from educational institutions, universities, Central Ministries or non-government organisations. It also has information on educational loans offered by 23 banks.

The web site also has a facility through which applicants can track their applications.
