VIJAYAWADA: The driver of an oil tanker died when his vehicle overturned near Santhinagar village on the Vijayawada-Bhadrachalam road on Tuesday evening. According to the Ibrahimpatnam police, N. Upendrachari (32) of Mallepalli village in Khammam district, a driver with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), was transporting diesel from the company's terminal at Kondapalli to a petrol bunk in Telaprolu. When the tanker reached Santhinagar, Upendrachari tried to overtake a cycle-rickshaw. While trying to avoid hitting the cycle-rickshaw, he fell down and was crushed under the tanker. The cleaner, D.
