ALAPPUZHA: Harish Kannan, a first year B.Sc. nursing course student at the Indian Institute of Nursing School, Rajarajeswari Nagar, Bangalore, is reportedly missing from May 29, according to his father Haridasan. At a press conference here, Mr. Haridasan said Kannan had left his home at Haripad for Bangalore on May 24 by train. He made a telephone call from Bangalore on May 25 and informed his parents that he had reached the school, said Mr. Haridasan. But on May 30, the school manager called up Mr. Haridasan and said that he had denied permission to Kannan to attend school and asked him to bring his father to the school. The manager added that Kannan was not present at the school hostel from May 29, said Mr Haridas. Mr. Haridasan said that then onward he started investigating the whereabouts of his son. Though he searched the homes of relatives and friends, Kannan could not be found. After making enquires at Bangalore, Mr. Haridasan returned home and then got a letter from the school that Kannan had been suspended from the school for prolonged absence.
