Rs. 8 lakhs for tourism in Chittoor

CHITTOOR: The Government has sanctioned Rs. 8 lakhs for development of tourism in the district. The Joint Collector, Rajendra Prasad, in a press statement on Wednesday said out of this amount Rs. 3 lakhs would be given to Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple at Kalikiri for providing additional facilities and Rs. 5 lakhs for construction of CC road to Thalakona water falls from downhill and changing rooms. At Kanipakam where Sri Varasiddivinayaka Swamy temple is located, 25 acres of land would be allotted for construction of restaurant and guest house.
