WARANGAL: Naxals at the Warangal Central Jail have been on fast since Tuesday demanding a separate kitchen. There are 34 prisoners belonging to different naxal groups - Janashakthi, CPUSI, Prathighatana, Praja Prathighatana and Adivasi Liberation Tigers lodged in the barrack-II who have been demanding that the officials provide ration and enable them to have separate kitchen. They, according to sources, were also demanding that visitors be allowed to meet them directly in the prison unlike others. However, only the naxals belonging to Maoist party have a separate kitchen in the jail while others do not have the provision. When contacted, the jail Superintendent, R Narasimha Reddy, said the demand was against the norms and they held discussions with the prisoners on Wednesday. The issue is now settled.
