dated July 22, 1955: C. Rajam dead

We regret to report the death in the early hours of July 21 of Mr. C. Rajam, a leading industrialist of South India and founder and benefactor of the Madras Institute of Technology, Chromepet. The news of the death of Mr. Rajam spread quickly in Madras and a number of persons called at his residence to offer their condolences to the family. Among them were Mr. Sri Prakasa, Governor, Mr. C. Rajagopalachari,, Mr. Kasturi Srinivasan, Mr. C.R. Srinivasan, Mr. C. Subramaniam and Mr. M. Bhaktavatsalam.
