Exide introduces traction batteries

CHENNAI: Exide Industries, maker of industrial and automotive batteries, has launched its latest traction battery range, Gen X. Traction batteries are used for electric forklifts, battery operated trucks and similar vehicles. Exide is the largest supplier of traction batteries in the original equipment manufacture segment with a 70 per cent market share. It has developed a technologically superior version of traction battery for imported battery operated trucks for transnational companies like Komatsuk Yale, Still, Linde, Crown, Jungherinrich, says a company release.
