MADANAPALLE: A master plan to regularise traffic in Madanapalle will be prepared, according to the Chittoor Collector S. S. Rawat and the Joint Collector Rajendra Prasad. At a press conference on Wednesday, they said laying of a bypass road at a cost of Rs. 8 crores had been taken up besides Gollapalle ring road at Rs. 15 lakhs in a stretch of 1.8 km. Another 4-km road joining the Bangalore road and Kadiri road via Ponnutipalem Kollabylu village would be laid. He said that encroachments in the town on Bangalore Road, Kadiri Road, C.T.M. Road, Nimmanapalle Road and Punganur Road would be removed. He instructed municipal officials to take up construction of road dividers, drainage system and lighting facilities. Road widening from C.T.M. Road would be taken up a cost of Rs. 25 lakhs, he said. A road would be laid from the Industrial Estate to Kollabalu via Neerugavtivaripalle.
