TENALI: Acharya Nagarjuna University Vice-Chancellor V. Balamohan Dass, highlighting the importance of English as a media, said that it was a window to the world of knowledge. Presiding over a national seminar on `English in the media' at J.M.J College for Women here on Thursday, he advised students to improve their communication skills in order to face competition. "Recognising the growing importance of English in the present globalisation and the unique position of English as lingua franca in the country, the Department of English organised the national seminar," the ANU Board of Studies in English Chairperson K. Ratna Sheila Mani said.
