Court tells CBI to arrest Moddu Seenu by July 4

Judicial custody of 12 accused in Paritala case, including Suri, extended


  • Trial delayed due to Moddu Seenu being at large
  • Separate trial of the 12 accused likely to commence after August 4
  • CBI told to expedite probe into involvement of Jaganmohan Reddy, Diwakar Reddy and G. Bhanumati

    ANANTAPUR: The Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate's Court on Thursday directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is probing the Paritala Ravindra murder case, to arrest and produce before it one of the key accused in the case and the alleged main shooter, Julakanti Srinivasa Reddy alias Moddu Seenu by August 4.

    The court also extended the judicial custody of the 12 accused in the case including the prime accused, G. Suryanarayana Reddy alias Suri, till August 4.

    Except T. Konda Reddy, who has been hospitalised for the last three months, other 11 accused in the case attended the court.
