HOKKAIDO (JAPAN): MRF Tyres' Jussi Valimaki and Tosihiro Arai (Subaru) will renew their battle when the fourth leg of the Asia-Pacific Rally championship is held in this picturesque island from July 22 to 24. Valimaki, who leads the APRC standings, was denied a hat-trick by Arai in the Rally of Rotorua in New Zealand and will be hoping to upstage his rival. It won't be easy given the fact that Arai will be competing on his home turf. MRF Tyres' Katsuhiko Taguchi too will be hoping to utilise the home advantage and break a jinx. Right from 2001, Taguchi has been fighting hard to finish first in front of his home fans, but his efforts have proved futile. Maybe, his luck will change this year. This year's rally will have two completely new special stages and it will be interesting to see how the drivers negotiate them.
