KAKINADA: The Sarpavaram police arrested two youth for allegedly harassing a teacher's family for not paying instalments for a loan procured from a financier. According to the police, Yamana Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Murthy, (40), of Venkatnagar took a loan of Rs.20,000 from Srinivasa Reddy, a financier of Pasalapudi village on November 13, 2003 but failed to repay the monthly interest promptly. The financier deployed two youths -- Pulagam Ramakrishnareddy and Veeraboyina Satyanarayana -- to realise the amount from the teacher by using `coercive' methods. On July 6, the two approached the teacher for repayment of loan and when he pleaded for some more time, they stayed at his house and enjoying the hospitality as non-paying guests for the past 14 days. They threatened to kidnap the teacher and unable to bear the harassment any longer, Mr. Murthy's wife lodged a complaint with the police following which the duo were arrested. They were remanded to 15 days judicial custody .
