MYSORE: The foundation stone for a hi-tech public toilet at the Deputy Commissioner's office to be constructed by the Mysore Agenda Task Force (MATF) was laid on Thursday. The Deputy Commissioner, S. Selva Kumar, performed the "guddali puja" for the Rs. 2.25-lakh project. The Deputy Commissioner's office, which is visited by hundreds of people every day, has no public toilet. Hence, the MATF members, R. Guru, P.V. Giri, M. Lakshmana and B.R. Pai, contributed Rs. 2.25 lakhs for the proposed toilet. The toilet has been designed by Lt. Col. K.P. Vijaykumar (Retd.) as a service to MATF. C. Uday Kumar, PWD contractor, will take up the construction work.
