`Little Doctor' to target children

Staff Reporter

CHENNAI: These days children of nuclear families find life tough. Parents have hectic schedules and youngsters have only TV, books or a maid for company.

The children grow up with little supervision and little opportunity to learn and nurture good habits. "It is known that the right habits are best inculcated and imbibed during childhood - be it eating habits, hygiene, health & fitness or safety," says Madhumati N of Aspire Superkidz, a company offering educational services to young people.

Keeping these aspects in mind SuperKidz is offering children a unique new-age life-skills training programme called `Little Doctor' targetting children in standards I and II (6-8 year olds).

Little Doctor is an innovative programme that hopes to create healthy individuals by developing healthy habits and lifestyles. The six-month programme is delivered as two modules every weekend for about an hour and a half on each day. Topics on the body physique, health and fitness, proper nutrition and food habits and personal care and hygiene are covered.

The aim is to help children gain awareness about personal health and hygiene at an age when it becomes a habit. Children are also taught the basics of safety, first aid and responding to an emergency situation. Children learn in groups and through activities, games and practical hands on experience.

For registration and admissions of children, parents can contact Aspire Superkidz at Ph: 28341086/52121387
