Power cut
CHENNAI:
Power supply will be suspended in parts of Perambur, Puzhal, Kottivakkam, Sastri Nagar, Kalakshetra Road, Pudupet, parts of NSC Bose Road and nearby areas, Sowcarpet East, S.K. Nagar, Kilpauk, Mandaveli, Porur, Flower Bazaar and Ayapakkam SS area including ICF Colony, Thiruverkadu and Madharavedu on Saturday between 9 a.m and 5 p.m for maintenance work
Metrowater's appeal
A meeting of the Association of Engineers Metrowater on Tuesday has called upon the State Highways and Police departments and Chennai Corporation to cooperate with Metrowater to ensure early provision of water and sewer connections to the public, according to a press release from the association.
Scholarships
The New Association to promote uplift of women ( NATPU) offers scholarships to girls from the Plus- One level. Aspirants can send hand-written applications with details of family income, relevant marksheets, family income, bonafide certificates from institutions and copy of fee receipts. Blood donation

The Lions Club of Keelkattalai collected 53 units of blood at a camp held on Sunday at West Mambalam as part of the installation meeting. Sekar was installed president of the club. Lions International 324 A6 district leaders, M.J.F. Kamala Mahadevan and Vijaya Balakrishnan participated.
