CHENNAI: Anna University has announced the counselling schedule for single window admissions for B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch courses in its constituent and government engineering colleges, as also in government quota seats in private and unaided institutions. The counselling sessions are to be conducted in a distributed fashion in Chennai, Tiruchi, Madurai and Coimbatore. Counselling for physically disabled persons and for "other State quota" seats in the university will be held on July 27 and for vocational group on July 28 and 29. The main counselling for academic stream will begin on July 30. Candidates will be counselled at the sessions they have opted for. Therewill be no sessions on August 6 and 7 (when the common entrance test for management quota seats are to be conducted) and on August 15 (Independence Day). On August 14, the session would break off for counselling for filling B.Arch seats. This will be held only at Chennai. According to the present schedule, the single window counselling ends on August 27. There will be six sessions in the initial days and eight in the subsequent days. About 1,200 to 1,500 students will be called each day. Individual call letters are being sent to the candidates, although eligible candidates who have written the TNPCEE 2005 and whose total marks correspond with that of any specific session can appear for counselling even without the call letters. Students should initially pay Rs.5,300 during counselling (Rs.1150 for SC/ST students). Other details can be had at the website www.annuniv.edu/tnea2005.
