Application sale for

diploma course

Sale of applications for the one-year diploma course in the College of Home Science has been extended up to July 30. The applications should be sent to the Associate Dean, College of Home Science, Saifabad, on or before August 8, according to a press release.

Workshop on

dance, drama

The Rainbow Inc is organising a participatory workshop on `Self- discovery through creative drama and dance' facilitated by Mahnoor yar Khan and Tripura Kashyap, dance therapist and choreographer, here on July 30 and 31.

agenda released

The Governor, Sushil Kumar Shinde, released the agenda of professional development activities of the Public Relations Society of India, Hyderabad chapter, for the current year. The newly-elected office bearers of the chapter, led by C.G.K. Murthy, Chairman, appraised him of various activities taken up. A set of publications were also presented to Mr. Shinde, according to a press release said.

Water board meet

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) has organised a meeting of its officers and workers to discuss various safety measures during heavy rain. Demonstrations were organised for workers to deal with different contingencies. Directors -- V. Jambul Reddy (technical), M. Satyanarayana (P&A) -- and V. Raja Reddy, Executive Director, addressed the meeting, according to a press release.

`Deep mela'

Deepshika Mahila Club is organising a three-day `Deep mela' with stalls selling sarees, dress material, bed linen, jewellery, handicrafts, silver articles, paintings and food items at the Imperial Gardens, Secunderabad, on July 22, 23 and 24, according to a press release.

Computer courses

Courses in C, C++, Java, J2EE, multimedia and other computer courses offered by the Literacy House, Andhra Mahila Sabha, will begin from August 1.

The last date for registration is July 25.
