Casting a spell

"Are you sure you want only one copy sir?" the bookstore dealer asked a parent who accompanied by his two-teenaged children to buy latest edition of the Harry Potter series — Harry Potter and Half-blood Prince. While Potter fans pestered parents to take them to bookstores, it called for all the tactics on the part of parents to work out a compromise between children vying to read the book first. No doubt, bookstore dealers wondered whether one copy would be enough. There were several parents who bought two copies to buy peace at home. And what more, many schools reported thin attendance on the day with children bunking school to enjoy their all-time favourite.
