Death traps on roads

If you're travelling on city roads in the night, beware of offenders. And if it is raining, be more cautious about manholes. The unfortunate death of a bank officer Durga Kumari last Friday is a grim reminder of how dangerous open manholes can be. Durga Kumari's is not an isolated case. Recently, a boy died in a similar manner at Talabkatta. None bothered to find out who had removed the manhole covers. For the police, the deaths are typical suspicious deaths and for civic officials an unfortunate incident.
