Alstom to undergo name change

CHENNAI: Alstom has reported a turnover of Rs. 248 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 against Rs. 166 crore in the corresponding period in 2004-05. The net profit has increased to Rs. 9.05 crore from Rs. 6.28 crore. According to a release, the process of acquisition of sharehbolding in Alstom by Areva T & D (SA) is likely to be completed shortly. Consequently it is proposed to change the name of the company to Areva T &D India.
