BANGALORE: The 23rd Additional Sessions Court has sentenced K.V. Nagesh, former Administrative Officer, Directorate of Agriculture Marketing, to undergo simple imprisonment of two years and pay a fine of Rs. 10.5 lakhs for possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. In an investigation done by two Lokayukta officers, G. Ramesh and Syed Riyaz, it was found that Nagesh possessed assets worth Rs. 13.34 lakhs. A case was registered against him in September 1994.
