THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Government has set up district level committees in all districts to review the progress of the service delivery initiatives taken up under the Modernisation in Government Programme. A Minister will head each committee, according to an official press release issued here here on Sunday. The committees will meet at least once in two months to do the review, according to the statement.. The Ministers heading these committees are: E.T. Mohammed Basheer in Kasaragod district, A.P. Anil Kumar in Kannur district, K.K. Ramachandran in Wayanad, M.K. Muneer in Kozhikode, Kutty Ahmed Kutty in Malappuram, Adoor Prakash in Palakkad, Ebrahim Kunju in Thrissur, Dominic Presentation in Ernakulam, K.M. Mani in Kottayam, C.F. Thomas in Idukki, K.C. Venugopal in Alappuzha, Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan in Pathanamthitta, Babu Divakaran in Kollam and N. Sakthan in the Thiruvananthapuram district. As many as 2,585 institutions coming under the departments of Police, Revenue, Education, Health, Food and Civil Supplies, Registration, Local Administration and Social Welfare are covered under the service delivery programme. The Government had given administrative sanction for schemes requiring an outlay of Rs.250 crores for these institutions so as to to streamline the delivery of services provided to the general public. The required infrastructure and training to the employees had already been provided, the press release added.
