Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: Bharatiya Janata Party floor leader G. Kishan Reddy will participate in a convention of the World Youth Council Against Terrorism to be held in Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur on July 26 and 27.

Mr. Reddy, who heads the organisation, will inaugurate the Malaysian branch and its central office, according to a press release issued by the party here.

Delegates from India and other countries will attend the convention where Malaysian Prime Minister, Ministers and officials from other countries will be present.

Mr. Reddy will leave the city on the morning of July 25 and return three days later.

Panel formed

The Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan Memorial Committee has been formed with former Governor B. Satyanarayana Reddy as chairman. It will work for the construction of Jayaprakash Narayan Bhavan and installing of his statue in the city.

The other office-bearers of the committee are: P. Janardhan Reddy, former MLA, and A. Sriramulu, vice-chairmen, and B. Krishna Rao, S. Raghuveer Rao, Jaya Vindhyala, K. Chandrasekhar, G. Muthyalu, Keshav Rao Jadav, H.K. Jaiswal and Iqbal Khan, members.

Re-survey sought

The Andhra Pradesh Backward Classes Welfare Association has demanded a re-survey of BCs for the coming municipal elections as the exercise undertaken is faulty resulting in reduced number of voters. R. Krishnaiah, president, in a press release on Sunday alleged that attempts were being made to deprive BCs of their due reservations. He claimed that the organisation had received complaints of irregularities having taken place in the enumeration of BCs in 80 municipalities.

He sought a scientific survey of BCs based on house-to-house enrolment.
