Play to help the underprivileged
Staff Reporter
BANGALORE:
Aviva Life Insurance and CAUSE Foundation have come together to raise funds to help the underprivileged.
Aviva is sponsoring "The Sound of Music," a play directed by the president of CAUSE Foundation, Leila Alvares Lynn. The proceeds from this play will be used to help disabled children through the Balajothi Centre for the Disabled, a non-governmental organisation (NGO), here.
The NGO runs a day-care centre for children with disabilities, counsels and educates parents to take care of their children and conducts therapy and educational programmes for each child, depending on its requirements. Vivek Khanna, Director, Marketing, Aviva Life Insurance, said: "The company takes up social and environmental causes as part of its corporate social responsibility programme to secure the future of the local communities. Our association with CAUSE Foundation is another step towards our goal of helping underprivileged children."
