Counters at RTO for women, senior citizens

The Regional Transport Office (RTO), Bangalore Central, has opened separate counters for women and senior citizens who want to obtain learner's licence and driving licence. The counters will be open between 10 a.m. and noon for women, and noon to 2 p.m. for senior citizens. They will not be open on Saturdays.

Yoga for students, teachers

The Shankara Yoga Pranayama and Meditation Centre will organise special yoga classes for students and teachers of the Kamala Nehru Makalla Mandir from August 1, between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. For details, dial 26796824, 9886658124.

Theatre workshop

Free computer training for the blind

Enable India, an organisation working for the welfare of the disabled, will conduct a six-month free computer-training programme for the blind. For details, dial 51101390 (from Monday to Friday between 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.).

Eye check-up for diabetics

Padmabhushan Dr. M.C. Modi Charitable Eye Hospital will organise a free eye check-up camp for diabetics on Sunday. Blood sugar test will be done free of charge. More information is available on phone (23492233, 51287198).
