BANGALORE: Outstation teams Kanaka from Kolar and Mysore's BEML scored convincing victories in the B Division basketball league ties at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium outdoor courts here on Tuesday, even as rains threatened to throw the schedules haywire. While Kanaka downed Indiranagar BasketBall Club (IBBC) 41-30 the BEML side carried too many guns for Orions and won handsomely at 52-34 with P.J. Srinivas (15), Keshava (15) and Jayanth (14) accounting for most of the points. In another match, Devanga Union converted its 21-16 half-time lead to a winning 49-37 margin over Koramangala S.C. The results: Kanaka (Kolar) 41 (Guruprasad 30) bt IBBC 30 (Nandith 12)(Ht: 16-8). BEML (Mysore) 52 (Srinivas P.J 15, Keshava 15, Jayanth 14) bt Orions 34 (Ht: 26-24). Devanga Union 49 (Harish 14, Muniranga 11, Bharat 10) bt Koramangala SC 37 (Ht: 21-16).
