Grievances day meeting

The Superintending Engineer of Tamil Nadu Electricity Board will conduct a grievances day meeting at the office of the executive engineer, Palladam, on July 27 at 11 a.m.

Telephone bill payment

Cash counters accepting telephone bill payments in customer service centres, telegraph offices and telecom centres at Coimbatore and Tirupur will start functioning from 8.30 a.m. on July 27 and 28.

Competition

Sree Narayana Mission will conduct an essay-writing competition on August 6 for school and college students in connection with 151st Guru Jayanthi celebrations.

According to a release, the competition will be held in English, Tamil and Malayalam and the participants will be divided into three categories - sub juniors (up to Class VII), juniors (Class VIII to X) and seniors (Class XI to college students). Training programme

The Directorate of Seed Certification conducted a training programme for Government seed producers.

Speakers emphasised the need to have a training on quality seed production and explained seed certification procedures, seed law enforcement and cultivation aspects of BT cotton.
