Man surrenders after killing wife

COIMBATORE: : Kittan (45), a watchman in a local body-owned marriage hall at Kavundampalayam, surrendered before the Thudialur police after murdering his wife, Palaniammal (35), suspecting her fidelity. According to police, Kittan used to pick up quarrel with wife often. On Monday too he quarrelled with her at the marriage hall where he was on duty. He tied Palaniammal's hands and legs and gagged her before smashing her head repeatedly with a huge boulder.

After dumping the body in a toilet, Kittan continued to remain on guard duty at the marriage hall throughout the night. In the morning after taking a bath at home he went to the Thudialur Police Station and confessed the crime. The police arrested Kittan and recovered the body.
