No power in some areas today

There will be no power supply between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Thursday in the following areas: TPT Colony, Sethammapeta and Main Road, Rajendranagar, Ganesh Nagar, Hindu-Muslim Colony, Srihariveedhi, Harijana Colony, Kanakammavari Veedhi and Regional Eye Hospital area.

Admission to vocational courses

The Phase II admission of Intermediate Vocational pass-outs into the second year of diploma courses in engineering for Andhra University region for the year 2005 will be conducted on Friday at the Government Polytechnic from 8 a.m. Eligible candidates have to report with their original certificates of Intermediate, SSC, Bridge Course pass certificate, etc.

Bank ATM counter opened

Karnataka Bank Limited has opened its 45th ATM counter at its CBM Compound branch premises. Commissioning the ATM, its General Manager Jayarama Bhat said that the bank would shortly add other services likes Internet banking, Demat facilities and mutual fund distribution.
