His enthusiasm to theatre knows no bounds. K. T. Mohammed is synonymous with the theatre movement in Kozhikode and Malabar in general. That drama is KT's first love, was clearly evident from his inaugural speech at the Thaj Memorial meeting organised by the Thaj Anusmarana Samithi and the Purogamana Kalasahitya Sangham at the Town Hall here on Wednesday. Despite his failing health, the octogenarian playwright never said no when invited to speak at any programme connected with theatre. His presence with a walking stick to aid him is a familiar sight to drama connoisseurs of the city. Drama, KT said ought not to end at the level of the playwright. It ought to extend to the stage with more vibrancy and newer connotations. KT is remembered as the pioneer of the experimental theatre in Kozhikode. .
