KOZHIKODE: A village assistant and two other persons were found guilty of fabricating a title-deed by the Vigilance court here in a case charged by the Vigilance wing of Police Department. All the accused in the case are from Kasaragod. Vigilance court judge B. Sudheendrakumar sentenced Mepri Moideen Kutty Haji, his son Mepri Mohammed and M. Gangadharan, a village assistant, to two-and-a-half years' imprisonment and a fine of Rs.20,000 each. The case against the accused was the three were involved in fabricating a title-deed in the name of a deceased person by the name Choma. The village assistant was accused in the case of having helped the other two accused to get a land tax receipt, which enabled Mepri Mohammed, the third accused, to get a land assigned in his name.
