IOB to open office in China

CHENNAI: Indian Overseas Bank will be opening a representative office in Guangzhou, China during the second week of August. The representative will function as a liaison office and will also undertake market research on trade and commodities for the benefit of Indian businessmen. The bank has presence in Hong Kong since 1955 and the Hong Kong office celebrated its golden jubilee recently, according to a release.
