TN Tele posts Rs. 37 lakhs profit

CHENNAI: Tamilnadu Telecommunications, a telecom cable manufacturer, has achieved a profit of Rs. 37.16 lakhs in the three months ended June 30, 2005, against a loss of Rs. 252.84 lakhs in the corresponding period last year. Sales were higher by 57 per cent at Rs. 8.75 crore against Rs. 5.62 crore. The net operating margin has improved during the quarter considerably despite volatile selling prices thanks to improved production and efficient cost control measures, says a release.
