Mohammed Ismail and family receive a cheque of Rs. 1 lakh

CHENNAI:
Mohammed Ismail and his family are a happy lot, for they received a cheque for Rs. 1 lakh after winning a contest conducted by Airtel.
The telecommunication major with cartoonist-journalist Madhan, anchored a live film quiz contest.
Mr. Ismail with assistance from his nephew, Nagoormeeran, gave the maximum number of correct answers and received the prize.
`Hello Madhan' contest
Chandrika Raman, customer care, said the quiz was conducted for the landline users of Airtel in which about 4,000 persons participated.
Among the contestants, Mr. Nagoormeeran answered almost all the questions and earned a total of 7,670 points in the `Hello Madhan' contest.
Mr. Madhan said: "I wanted to organise a quiz, which was unbiased. So questions pertaining to films produced a few decades ago, latest movies and some of the yet-to-be-released movies were added to the questionnaire," he said.
Value addition
Deepak Pande, chief operating officer, Bharti Tele-Ventures Limited, Tamil Nadu, said that the contest was aimed as a value-addition for existing customers. He received an overwhelming response from their customers.
