HYDERABAD: Four archers from Andhra Pradesh Nachupally Arun Kumar, Syed Shareefuddin, Ch. Lenin and N. Ravinder will take part in the second National ranking circuit prize money archery tournament at Gurgaon, Haryana from August 25 to 28. The Indian squad for the third and final Asian Grand Prix at Jakarta, Indonesia will be picked at the above meet. The competition will also double up as the second leg of selection trials to choose the national team for the Asian championships, scheduled for New Delhi in November, according to Anil Kamineni, Secretary General, Archery Association of India. The final leg of the selections and third ranking tournament will also be at Delhi in October. While Ravinder is currently at the camp for `recurve' archers in Bangalore, Shareefuddin and Lenin are already in Delhi for the `compound bow' camp. Arun cannot be in the capital on account of his ailing parents and may head straight for Gurgaon. The `recurve bow' team had returned a splendid performance at the World Outdoor championships in Madrid in June, unsurpassed in recent times by any Indian squad, the men emerging runner-up and the women placing fourth.
