NEW DELHI: The police action against Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (private) Limited workers at Gurgaon figured in the Lok Sabha again on Thursday with Home Minister Shivraj Patil informing it that the Centre was monitoring the situation. Making a statement, he said the Haryana Government informed him that the situation was peaceful and under control. Since Monday's incident, the Centre had been in contact with it. "We have ascertained further details from the State Government about the incident." The Garg Commission report would be submitted within three months. The Deputy Commissioner and the Senior Superintendent of Police were asked to proceed on leave. Of the injured protestors admitted to hospitals at Gurgaon and Sohna, only six were being treated now, the Minister said. Meanwhile, the All-India Democratic Women's Association has sought the Prime Minister's intervention in safeguarding the interests of Honda workers. "The Prime Minister will have to prove that he is a patriot and can safeguard the interest of the workers," its president Subhashini Ali said here.
