The incident took place near the Government College which was heavily damaged in a landslip on Wednesday.

District authorities disbursed financial assistance of Rs. 50,000 each to next of kin of those killed in Tuesday's landslips. The relatives of two more victims are yet to collect the money. Six persons who have been admitted to hospital with injuries sustained in the landslips were given Rs. 1,000 each.
