Lions Club to focus on rural areas

HUBLI: The Lions Club will be taking up several programmes this year with a focus on rural areas, Ravi R. Hegde, Lions District (324-D2) Governor, said here on Thursday.

Speaking to presspersons on Thursday, Mr. Hegde talked about the various programmes that the Club has chalked out for the year. He sia dthe club will launch `Dia-care' to create awareness about diabetes in the rural areas through conducting health check-up camps and other programmes, he said.

Mahendra Singhi, chairman of the organising committee, said the District Cabinet Installation of the club will be held on July 30.
