`Sound of Music' play today

BANGALORE:
Three decades after it hit the big screen, the musical "Sound of Music" continues to be popular, with many homes having the DVD version.
You can see the stage version of this musical again on Friday evening at Chowdiah Memorial Hall.
The play is brought to the city as part of Aviva Life Insurance's corporate social responsibility initiative.
Proceeds from the sale of tickets will go to help Balajothi Centre for the Disabled. This non-governmental organisation runs a day care centre for disabled children and educates parents on taking care of such children.
The children are provided therapy and education depending on their needs so that they can become self-supporting when they grow up. The chief guest at the play will be Sahitya Academy Award-winner and theatre personality Mahesh Dattani.
